At half the height of a conventional AVR, the NR1711 is ideal if you’re pushed for space or simply balk at the sight of a full-size AV receiver. Standing just 105mm tall, it's around 50% the height (or less) of many of its rivals. This not only makes it easier on the eye but also means it slots in where many other AV receivers simply won't.

Fully featured
Half height doesn’t mean half the features or quality. With 7.1 channels, this slimline receiver is compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats. Alternatively, two of the channels can be used for stereo speakers in a second room, while still maintaining 5.1 surround sound in the main zone. The discrete power amp design and Pure Direct modes mean this Marantz AV receiver also sounds as special as you’d expect from this leading audio brand.

Play any Dolby format and enjoy a more immersive sound with virtual height enhancement – using your existing speakers. DTS Virtual:X also creates a more enveloping sound from any DTS codec. Compatible with 2.1, 5.1 or 7.1 speaker configurations, DTS Virtual:X gives the impression of extra height and a more immersive sound.

Ready for 8K, with dedicated HDMI input
Featuring a dedicated, 8K compliant HDMI input and matching output, this slimline Marantz AVR is ready for the next generation of TV. Not only does the amp pass through 8K/60Hz signals, but it also upscales HDMI signals to the 8K standard, too – helping you make the most of your 8K TV with 4K UHD media. If you’ve not yet made the jump to 8K TV, the socket also handles up to 4K/120Hz signals, for the highest quality pass through and upscaling with 4K UHD.

Supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dynamic HDR
As well as supporting 8K, the NR1711 also supports a wide range of High Dynamic Range (HDR) video formats. These include Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. It also supports HDR10+, which enhances picture realism by sending dynamic Meta data to your TV, as well as Dynamic HDR. In short, whatever the format used by the film, game or stream, the Marantz supports it.

The latest HDMI support also heralds a big improvement in gaming. 4K/120Hz and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support, maximise resolution and clarity. Quick Frame Transport (QFT) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) help eliminate lag and frame tearing, giving you a smoother, more responsive gaming experience.

At your command
Compatible with Alexa, Google and Siri, the NR1711 has your voice PA covered. For Alexa or Google Assistant control, simply download the HEOS app. Pair your Echo device if you’re using Alexa and you’re good to go – adjust the volume, skip to the next track and switch inputs simply by asking Alexa or Google. For control via Siri, simply link the receiver via Apple AirPlay 2 and enjoy voice interaction and AirPlay 2 multi-room support.

Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring even the largest homes are covered for multi-room music. Once you've set up your HEOS speaker system, you can stream music effortlessly via the dedicated HEOS app. Available for Apple iOS and Android, the app not only lets you stream your stored music but also Internet radio services and popular streaming services such as Spotify Connect (Premium account required), Tidal, Deezer, Amazon Music and others.

Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and built-in wi-fi for the complete networking experience
With both Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 connectivity it's easy to connect all your smartphones, tablets and compatible lap/desktops and stream music wirelessly. The NR1711 also comes with wi-fi and Internet radio. Simply connect to your home network via Ethernet or wi-fi and access thousands of Internet radio sites via TuneIn as well as streaming subscription services. A Bluetooth headphone output is now also standard.
