Ooberpad presents PX3 / PX5 Power Amplifiers by the Yamaha PX Series. Since the release of P2200 in 1976, which marked the launch of Yamaha's first professional power amplifier, Yamaha has nailed it at being the best in class provider of sound quality, power output, and reliability in sound reinforcement, studio, and installed applications. The new PX series power amplifiers have consistently maintained the streak of excellence, leveraging Yamaha’s renowned digital signal processing technology and unmatched professional audio expertise to build a light, durable design, power-packed to deliver the maximum output power to the speakers, and alongside protecting them with optimized processing. Driven by a newly-developed Class-D amplifier the four new models that make up the PX series are best suited for a broad range of sound reinforcement and a wide variety of installation environments. All of which gives it a distinguished edge above the similar products in the market.
1-year manufacturer's warranty
PX series models are driven by a newly developed Class-D amplifier engine that concentrates all the important functions into a single custom LSI chip and uses PLL technology to manage transfer characteristics in a controlled manner, real-time, resulting in superior sound quality and unparalleled power. This new single-chip architecture offers higher output and improved performance in a more lightweight, yet a robust body, well factoring in the ergonomics in design. Dynamic integration of cutting-edge technology and an exhaustive component selection process make PX Series amplifiers highly efficient amplifiers with low noise, reliable protection features, and above all, impressive sound quality. Amp Mode allows the user to easily configure the system by selecting the input routing and output routing. 15 types of patterns are up for selection. Input routing (Dual/Parallel/Single/SUM) Speaker System Structure:
- SUB+SUB - FULL+SUB - Bi-Amp - Boost Full - Boost Sub With a lineup comprising four new models – 1,200 W x2 PX10, 1050 W x2 PX8, 800 W x2 PX5, and 500 W x2 PX3* – the PX series offers an exciting wide range of different power output capabilities suitable for all kinds of sound reinforcement applications. The PX3 and PX5 are well-equipped with a Power Boost Mode that combines the power output from two channels into one, achieving significantly higher single-channel power levels to drive high power handling speakers when required (note that the number of channels available is halved in this case).
PX series models come with flexible onboard crossover, filters, delay, limiter, and PEQ (fixed preset) functions as standard, facilitating a quick and easy system setup via the LCD display, without any additional outboard gear required. All models also feature Yamaha’s intelligent D-CONTOUR multi-band dynamic processing, enabling consistently clear and high-quality sound for either front-of-house or monitor configurations. To cater to the varying levels of sound reinforcement experience for the users, the PX series offers both Basic and Advanced setup modes. Basic mode allows even the most inexperienced or the new users to configure a system fast and easy, and customize it to their needs, while Advanced mode equips the experienced users with more precise control over every aspect of their sound. All models feature eight programmable presets for instant recall and reduced setup time that can be saved to a USB thumb drive and shared with other PX amplifiers. The Config Wizard allows users to cut down the system set up time by assigning optimized speaker settings that match your system configuration– it just requires a quick selection of appropriate filter and crossover for each speaker, and Config Wizard will do the rest. Config Wizard also features presets* specifically tuned for each model in Yamaha’s extensive lineup of passive speakers, including the popular CBR, Club, Installation, and VXS/VXC series, and an advanced mode that facilitates more detailed configuration of parameters such as input routing, input sensitivity, amp gain, and speaker impedance. Equipped with both XLR and TRS inputs, and binding post, SpeakON, and phone outputs, PX Series amplifiers offer the flexibility needed for a variety of setups and different environments, and the durability to withstand exhaustive, extended road-use thanks to the sturdy chassis and carrying handle design. PX Series amplifiers make it as easy as it gets to configure panel settings, monitor amplifier status, and transfer data via USB, and also feature a panel locking function that keeps the settings safe. In case of any glitch, users can even export information such as internal devices and log data to USB for quick troubleshooting. Where to buy?
